Dr Laila Paruk is a psychiatrist who practices at the Day Clinic on Oxford, in Saxonwold, Johannesburg. She works at a weekly dual diagnosis clinic at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, and holds the position of Associate Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she assists in the training of under and post-graduate candidates. Dr Paruk is a member of the Functional Neurological Disorder Group, and is currently engaged in research and developing treatment programs for this group of patients.
